Always use neutral colors for the dividers, to offset their weight in the layout.
Make sure the background color is unobtrusive, by using white or another light color.
Graphic devices can provide an anchor for typography. Notice how the orange accent color matches the tone of the photograph.
When searching for photography, take care to select subjects and/or backgrounds with colors that complement or match those of our color palette, especially colors being used prominently in the layout. In this brochure, the warm tones of the photograph pick up the orange in the graphic elements.
DON’T use primary colors to render the dividers as they become too obtrusive.
DON’T use the secondary colors for headlines, because they will become difficult to read.
